Petrol Diesel Price/The minister rejected the speculations in media reports about cut in fuel price and said that the biggest priority of the government is to maintain the availability of energy.
He also said that recently when crude oil prices were skyrocketing, oil marketing companies – Indian Oil, BPCL and HPCL had suffered huge losses.
The minister said there has been no discussion with oil marketing companies on cutting fuel prices and they want a positive situation in terms of pricing.

Puri said, “In South Asian countries, prices of petrol and diesel have increased by about 40-80 per cent. “If you look at the western industrialized world, prices have gone up there, but in India prices have gone down.”
“We have been able to do this because of visionary leadership,” he said. Central excise duty was cut on two occasions, in November 2021 and May 2022 and we continued it in 2023.”Petrol Diesel Price
