Rajnandgaon. Senior Congress leader Surendra Dau has again taken on former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Highlighting the failures of the former Chief Minister, he strongly targeted him. He said that Bhupesh Baghel has not taken care of the public till date during his tenure and now when the elections are near, he is going among the public. Baghel is contesting from Rajnandgaon.

Surendra Dau said, “In the last five years, the workers and the people of Rajnandgaon were yearning to meet you, now the situation has become such that the former CM is going among the workers, listening to them and garlanding them. This is what I wanted. Now the battle ahead is to win Sanskaardhani, I have full confidence that she will not hand over the reins to such an arrogant person, who has only snatched from the district during his five-year tenure, and has not given anything.”

Surendra Dau said, “The people of Sanskardhani have some questions, they are putting them through journalists. If you win the Lok Sabha elections, you will either remain in the Lok Sabha or go to the Legislative Assembly. If you leave your Patan assembly, will you give a chance to any leader from Rajnandgaon district or will your family member contest the elections?”

Dau said, “Before the elections in the state, you made many promises to the innocent people of Chhattisgarh, which you could not fulfill. Due to this, the Congress government slipped from your hands in the state. Apart from this, Bhupesh ji, you did not even spare your colleagues in breaking the promise.”

Dau openly challenged former CM Bhupesh Baghel and said, “Whatever I have said today is proof of it. For this, I invite you to any intersection of the city for a debate. If I lose to you, I will leave Rajnandgaon district and if you fail to respond, you will have to leave the electoral field.”

He said, “Why should the public vote for you is a big question, because you have not given anything to Sanskardhani. You announced to give two crore rupees for the recognition of hockey here, but did not give it.”
