EOW-ACB raid, more than ten officers under investigation

EOW-ACB has raided the premises of Akhtar Dhebar, Anwar Dhebar and Junaid Dhebar in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Since 6 am, 16 officers have been involved in the raid and investigation. Many other people may also be arrested in the liquor scam case. After the hearing, Anwar Dhebar’s remand has been extended till April 18.

On Thursday also, the EOW team had raided 21 locations including those close to former CM Bhupesh Baghel in Raipur, Bilaspur. During the raid, the team had seized Rs 19 lakh cash, jewelery worth crores, laptops, pen drives and property documents. Former CSMCL MD Arunpati Tripathi was also arrested from Bihar.

Amidst the raid action, Anwar Dhebar, Arvind and Arunpati Tripathi also appeared in Raipur court on Friday in the liquor scam case. After this, the court has sent all three on remand till April 18. ACB-EOW presented all three in the court in the afternoon and sought remand, which was approved by the court.

On April 4, ACB-EOW had arrested businessmen Anwar Dhebar and Arvind Singh in the liquor scam case. Whose remand for the second time ended on Friday. Both of them were presented in the court and remand for the third time.

Apart from Anwar and Arvind, Arunpati Tripathi from Bihar was arrested only yesterday (April 11) in the liquor scam. After his arrest, ACB-EOW has also got his remand till 18th April. There is news from sources that these three accused will be interrogated face to face.

It is being told that till now no specific information has been received from Anwar and Arvind in the interrogation. Both are not cooperating in the investigation. Both of them are saying that they do not have information on most of the questions or are answering as if they have informed the ED about it.
