Now on the instructions of the Commission, a case has been registered against Lakhma in Bijapur under sections 503, 505 of the IPC and section 123 of the Representation of the People Act (RP Act).

Kawasi Lakhma has been charged with 503 criminal intimidation. 505 has been charged on charges of promoting public mischief and causing harm to the force. Whereas Section 123 of RP Act has been imposed on the charge of corrupt conduct.An FIR is also registered against Lakhma in Jagdalpur.
