Smugglers were bringing these jewelery from Bargarh Odisha to Raipur. The value of the seized silver has been estimated at Rs 42 lakh. The police have taken the two people in the car into custody and are interrogating the case.
CG Police/The youth in the car told that both of them were going from Bargarh Odisha to Raipur. After this, when the police searched the car, they were shocked to see the inside. 58.480 kg silver jewelery was recovered from the car. When the police asked both of them to show the documents related to these jewellery, the youth could not show any valid document.
After this the police seized the jewellery, whose value was estimated at Rs 42 lakh.
