CG News/Janjgir-Champa. Under the direction of Vivek Shukla, Superintendent of Police, Janjgir Champa, continuous action is being taken by District Police Janjgir to curb the sale of intoxicating substance, ganja in the district.
In the same sequence, on 24.03.2024, Janjgir Police received information that 2 persons were going from Sarada Chowk Janjgir side towards Naila Railway Station with intoxicant ganja. On this information, cyber team and RPF team were jointly informed for raid action. The team took action and found two persons at the incident site, Sharda Chowk, Janjgir, who on being caught and interrogated revealed their names to be Gajapati Rana and Sanjay Das, residents of Dhungi police station, Tusra district, Balangir, Orissa.
From whom 10 kg and 100 grams of intoxicating substance Ganja was found inside two trolley bags, which was recovered in front of witnesses and after finding evidence of Criminal Section Sadar against the accused, they were duly arrested and sent on judicial remand on 24.03.2024.
In the above proceedings, Praveen Kumar Dwivedi, in-charge of Janjgir police station and assistant sub-inspector Lambodar Singh, head constable Rajkumar Chandra, constable Jeevan Vaishno, Nitish Vishwakarma, Ishwari Rathore, Shiv Roy Sagar, cyber cell asi RP Baghel, assistant sub-inspector Amarendra from RPF.
