CG News/Raigarh/ Three guards were arrested for illegally demanding money in the name of gate pass from the family of a woman who had arrived for delivery at the Medical College Hospital in Raigarh. Police Has registered an FIR. As soon as the matter came to his notice, Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal directed the Dean of the Medical College and the Superintendent of the Medical College Hospital to register a police case against those involved in the incident.

Actually, this morning the woman along with her husband and family had reached Medical College Hospital Raigarh for delivery from Sarangarh. Where the guards of the private security agency deployed at the gate illegally demanded Rs 100 each from the woman’s family in the name of gate pass. After this incident came to his notice, Collector Shri Goyal instructed the Medical College Hospital management to register an FIR in the matter. Collector Shri Goyal said that such an act will not be tolerated at all.

People come to the hospital for treatment, taking money from them in the name of hospital admission is not only unethical but also comes in the category of crime. Strict legal action will be taken against those who do so.

Superintendent Dr. Manoj Minj said that three security guards of Ravi Shankar Gautam, Omprakash Patel and Sivendra Shukla of Bundela Securitas Bilaspur deployed for security arrangements in Sant Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji Smriti Government Hospital, Raigarh, affiliated to the Government Hospital College, were deployed for free in the hospital. A case of illegally taking Rs 100 each for making attender pass and giving admission to the patient and his family members in the hospital came to notice. An FIR has been lodged at Chakradhar Nagar police station against the three guards involved in this incident. After which further action is being taken by the police.
